Soak the chana dal for 2 hours in water.
Add onion, coriander leaves and curry leaves in a mixing bowl.
In a mixer, add ginger, garlic, saunf and green chillies.
Grind it for ten seconds.
Add the ground mixture in the mixing bowl.
Take half of the soaked dal and add it into the mixer. Dont add water.
Grind for 10 seconds and should not grind finely.
Add the ground mixture to the mixing bowl. Don't add water.
Next half portion of the soaked dal also grind it in the same way, and add to the mixing bowl.
Add the required salt to it.
Add one small ball of the small and make it to flatten in the hand. Dont take any water to make a ball.
Heat the oil in the kadai and add the vada dough into it.
Add one by one vada dough to the oil slowly. Try to keep maximum four in the kadai. Fry it in the medium flame.
Fry it on both sides and it should be light brown in color.
Yummy vada is ready to serve with tea.
